Bond County Fourth Fest 2025: A Star Spangled Celebration with Exciting Music Guests

Get ready to rock, feast, and celebrate under the summer sky at the Bond County Fourth Fest 2025, lighting up downtown Greenville, Illinois, on July 4 & 5! This two-day extravaganza promises an unforgettable blend of iconic music, family-friendly fun, mouthwatering food, and a jaw-dropping fireworks finale. Headlining this year’s event is none other than the legendary Ozark Mountain Daredevils, bringing their chart-topping hits and infectious energy to their final tour stop in Greenville!

Friday Night: Kick Off with a Country Rock Bang!

The party starts on Friday, July 4, with The Boys in the Band, the nation’s premier Alabama tribute band, taking the stage at 8pm. Expect all the twang and soul of Alabama’s greatest hits, delivered with electrifying flair that’ll have you singing along to every note. Warming up the crowd at 6:30pm is Shades of Blue, the high-energy ensemble from the US Air Force Band of Mid-America, setting the perfect patriotic tone for the weekend.

Saturday Night: A Legendary Farewell with The Ozark Mountain Daredevils

On Saturday, July 5, prepare for a historic night as the Ozark Mountain Daredevils, the iconic country-rock pioneers, headline the Fourth Fest as part of their When It Shines farewell tour. Known for timeless anthems like “If You Wanna Get To Heaven,” “Jackie Blue,” and “Chicken Train,” this “ragtag collection of hippies and bohemians” has been captivating audiences since 1971. With a career spanning millions of miles, countless performances, and a devoted global fanbase, their Greenville show promises to be a heartfelt celebration of their 50+ year legacy.

“We’re thrilled to bring the Daredevils to Bond County for one of their final performances,” said Fourth Fest co-chair Randy Alderman. “Their music is the soundtrack of a generation, and this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see them shine in Greenville!”

Kicking off Saturday’s main stage at 6pm is The Crush, a dynamic Southern Illinois rock band fronted by Katie Morse, a season five American Idol standout. Their high-octane performance will set the stage for an epic night. After the Daredevils, stick around for the SuperJam After Party at 10pm, where this St. Louis-based band will crank up the volume with two hours of arena-rock classics.

Music All Weekend Long

The tunes don’t stop with the headliners! The 144th Army Band and Scott Air Force Base are bringing seven military bands to keep the energy high, including the Lincoln Land Brass Band, Five Star Brass, Woodwind Quintet, 144th Rock Band, and 144th Big Band. Plus, the beloved Greenville Muny Band will perform a special set at 5pm on Saturday inside the United Methodist Church, adding a touch of local charm.

Fun for All Ages

The Fourth Fest is packed with activities to keep everyone entertained:

Fireworks Extravaganza

Cap off Saturday night with a spectacular fireworks display launched from the gullies north of the square at 9:30pm. It’s the perfect way to light up the sky and celebrate the Fourth in style!

A Community Effort

The Bond County Fourth Fest is a year-round labor of love, made possible by generous donors, sponsors, and the support of the City of Greenville and Greenville Tourism. “With a budget over $70,000, this event wouldn’t happen without our incredible community,” Alderman shared.
